Single European Rail Area (SERA) events on the technical pillar of the 4th Railway Package
The European Union Agency for Railways and the European Commission, DG Mobility and Transport, jointly organized a series of five regional conference meetings with the aim of having an informed and open discussion on the expected changes triggered by the technical pillar Of the 4thRailway Package (RP) such as new processes for vehicle authorization, safety certification and ERTMS trackside approval.
The regional conference is the following:
In each region, a wide range of actors such as the European institutions, the Member States and the representatives of the rail sector will engage in a dialogue that will contribute to a better understanding of the upcoming changes and eventually the successful implementation of the technical pillar of the 4th RP.
The series of regional events will be followed by a final conference which will take place in Brussels on 20 June 2017; More information will be published in due course.

They are expected to report on original, recent and substantive achievements related to one or more of the 12 TRA 2018 topics. After successfully passing the abstract review, authors will be invited to submit full papers which – if successfully reviewed – will be presented in oral or poster format at the conference.
